Liburnija d.o.o. Zadar

Successor of the Communal Labor Organization (KRO) “Liburnija” registered with the Commercial Court in Split on 10 January 1985, and pursuant to the Articles of Association regarding harmonization with the Companies Act, was established as a limited liability company on 10 September 1996.

Company activities

  • passenger transport in local and county traffic;
  • maintenance and repair of motor vehicles;
  • technical testing and analysis;
  • bus station services: arrival and departure of passengers and vehicles, tickets sale, provision of information on bus movements, reception and storage of luggage;
  • organizing and conducting tourist trips in the country and abroad.

The majority owner of Liburnija d.o.o. is the City of Zadar (58.24%), and the rest are: Municipalities of Bibinje, Kali, the Town of Nin, Municipalities of Novigrad, Poličnik, Posedarje, Preko, Ražanac, Sali, Starigrad, Sukošan, Škabrnja, Vir, Zemunik Donji, Galovac, Privlaka, Vrsi, the Town of Biograd na Moru, the Town of Obrovac, the Municipalities of Pakoštane, Pašman and Sveti Filip i Jakov.

The Supervisory Board of the Company consists of five members, whereas the Management Board of the Company consists of a director who represents the company independently and individually. The number of permanent employees is around 250.

Work and work tasks are organized in four organizational units

  • General, legal and HR department
  • Finance and Accounting Department
  • Operations and Transport Department
  • Technical Department.

Following the example of the European city model, the City of Zadar strives to undertake the obligation to finance the renovation and development of the public passenger transport system, and to co-finance transport costs in order to popularize the use of public transport.

The Company makes profit by selling transport services at a certain price that is under direct public control, i.e. the approval of the price is performed by the competent local self-government bodies.

The Mission

Accelerated development of the economic and social life of the city sets new quality requirements for the public transport system.

As a public transport provider, our main goal is to meet the transport needs of citizens in a timely manner and respond to changes in requirements, taking into account the available capacity, and at the same time contribute to economic development and improving the quality of life.

The mission of the company is to build and maintain a position in terms of transport, and to fulfill all its legal obligations with an efficient development policy and active presence in the interest of service users, owners of Company shares and company employees.

The Vision

To be the primary transport choice in the local community, especially in the city center, recognized by the level of safety, further development trend and quality of services in general.

The availability of the service to all categories of passengers, environmental friendliness and social responsibility are also considered guidelines for further operations.
